About The Therapist
Megan studied at Central Michigan University, earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Therapeutic Recreation with a minor in psychology. She since worked as a Recreational Therapist (CTRS) serving individuals primarily in psychiatric and behavioral health settings developing and facilitating psycho-educational programming.
Due to her passion for holistic wellness and person-centered care, Megan then pursued a certificate in Medical Massage Therapy from the Blue Heron Academy, where she graduated at the top of the class in her medical massage, advanced manual therapy and holistic health practitioner programs. She has since stayed involved at the school working as teaching staff.
In her work and studies, she continues to explore the mind-body connection and its impacts on overall well-being and daily life.
Megan enjoys spending her free time with friends, family and more specifically her dog. She prefers to spend her time outdoors, crafting, reading, lifting weights, and caring for her many houseplants.
